Michael Meyers is a playwright, screenwriter, and musician whose work is distinguished by grounded realism, memorable characters, and an unwavering belief in the possibility of redemption. Whether writing drama, dark comedy, or suspense, he is drawn to ordinary people facing extraordinary emotional choices, finding humor, hope, and unexpected grace in life's most difficult moments.
His award-winning screenplays and stage plays explore themes of second chances, family, friendship, and the courage to embrace new beginnings. Rather than relying on spectacle, Meyers builds stories around authentic relationships and flawed but deeply human characters whose emotional journeys linger long after the final scene.
Meyers' screenplays have earned multiple awards, including Best Screenplay of the Year, while his plays have been produced throughout Oregon and his ten-minute play Smoke Your Secrets was published in the literary journal Cirque. He is also the recipient of an Alaska Broadcasters Association Goldie Award and toured as a musician with the folk-rock group The River City Ramblers.
